The 35-year-old shared on Instagram on Monday an emotive quote from Donaldson, who was, along with brother Jason and seven-year-old nephew Julian King, murdered by her sister’s estranged husband William Balfour in 2008, reports people.com.
Sharing a vintage photograph of her mother, Hudson wrote: “Today would have been my late mothers 66th birthday. In her words, ‘If you think you’ve seen it all, just keep on living’.”
This comes just three months after Hudson donated school supplies to under-privileged children in honour of her late nephew Julian on what would have been his 15th birthday.
She said at the time: “I wanted my sister to look forward to her son’s birthday. My mother always told me, ‘What I love about you is no matter how negative things are, you always seem to find the positive’.”
Balfour was found guilty of killing Darnell, Jason, and Julian.

Nothing prepares you for fatherhood, says Redmayne

Los Angeles (IANS) Actor Eddie Redmayne doesn’t think “anything could have prepared” him for fatherhood.

The 34-year-old, who has four-month-old daughter Iris with his wife Hannah Bagshawe, says becoming a father to the little girl has opened “different parts of his heart” and it gives him something to smile at after a long day at work.
“I don’t think anything can prepare you. The amazing thing is everything that everyone tells you beforehand — which is all cliche — is true,” Redmayne told etonline.com.
“You’ve heard it all before and yet when you’re experiencing it, it feels like the first time and you suddenly start telling everyone these things as if they’re completely new and original thoughts. And they’re like, ‘Yeah that’s the cliche’.
“But all the things, like different parts of your heart opening… It’s really extraordinary. There’s this amazing thing with children — whenever you’re having a bit of a tired moment or something, it’s like she’s always just one stop ahead of you, smiling you along. It’s great,” he added.
